I am a second grade teacher at Johnson STEAM Academy Magnet School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I have been teaching for 19 years and am passionate about teaching the "underdogs" in education, who may not have the most ideal home lives, but are some of the most creative, funny, and talented young minds around. I love instilling a love of learning in all of my students and helping them reach their potential and have fun along the way. I have very high expectations for all of my students and also enjoy connecting with my families and learning more about them as a family unit and part of my team.
